Attendance – Tardies – Early Release from School – Perfect Attendance Awards

By understanding and promoting that EVERY DAY COUNTS in your child’s education, together we can continue making positive steps forward in your child’s future.. Every day a student is in school, he/she raises her chances to do well in school which begins with being PRESENT and ON-TIME EVERY DAY. Please follow the guidelines below:

  • Please phone the school, (562) 944-9878, when your child is absent.
  • Send a note/doctor’s note when your child returns to school
  • An absence can only be EXCUSED by providing the following documentation: doctor/dentist’s note, funeral, or court hearing.
  • It is VERY IMPORTANT that vacations and one-day trips are planned only when school is not in session.
  • Students who are unexcused from school for more than 5 days due to a trip will be removed from the school register and must re-enroll upon return on a space available basis. ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO STOP THIS. PLEASE SEE THE SECRETARY
  • We WILL NOT release children by telephone request. In addition, we will not release a child to anyone who is not specifically listed on the child’s emergency card.
  • Perfect Attendance Awards will be given to students who have NO absences and NO tardies or early dismissals.  (Tardies for visits to the doctor or dentist will only be excused with a note from the doctor or dentist.)

 

Asistencia - Tarde – Salida temprano de la escuela - Reconocimientos por Asistencia Perfecta

La asistencia regular es importante para la educación de su hijo/a, juntos podemos continuar positivamente hacia el futuro de su hijo(a). Cada día que el estudiante asiste a la escuela, él (ella) aumenta las oportunidades de tener un buen desempeño. Esto empieza con asistir a la escuela todos los días y llegar a tiempo. Por favor, siga las siguientes normas:

  • Por favor, avise a la escuela por teléfono, (562) 944-9878, cuando su niño/a está ausente.
  • Enviar una nota/nota del doctor cuando su niño/a regrese a la escuela.
  • Una ausencia sólo puede ser excusada proporcionando la siguiente documentación: nota del doctor/dentista, funeral, o audiencia en el tribunal. Es muy importante que planifiquen sus vacaciones y salidas de un solo día cuando no hay clases.
  • Cuando un estudiante falta más de cinco (5) días debido a un viaje, lo quitarán de la lista de los inscritos y tendra que inscribirse de nuevo cuando regrese, y solamente si hay cupo para añadirlo. PARA EVITAR ESTO, POR FAVOR VISITEN A LA SECRETARIA ANTES, Y NOTIFIQUENSELO.
  • Si en alguna ocasión es necesario que su niño/a salga de su clase temprano, venga a la oficina, no al salón, para recogerlo/a.
  • NO ENTREGAREMOS a los niños por medio de una petición telefónica. Además, no entregaremos a ningún niño/a a personas que no estén específicamente nombrados en la tarjeta de emergencia. Si su hijo/a regresa a la escuela el mismo día, tráigalo primero a la oficina.
  • Los Reconocimientos de Asistencia Perfecta se darán a los estudiantes que NO tienen ausencias tardanzas o salidas temprano.  (Llegadas tarde a la escuela por razones de visitas médicas o al dentista solo serán excusadas con una nota del médico o dentista.)
