Discipline Plan
Dear Parents,
We are pleased to have your child in fifth grade this year. In order to guarantee your child and all the students in our classrooms the excellent educational climate they deserve, we will tolerate no student stopping us from teaching or any student stopping another from learning.
5th Grade Discipline Policy:
Rules:
• Be respectful
• Be responsible
• Be safe
All students begin the day on Ready to Learn (green)
Students who show good behavior will move up the behavior chart:
• Good (yellow)
• Super (orange)
• Awesome (red)
Students who break the rules will move down the behavior chart:
• Think About It (blue)
• Lose Recess (purple)
• Parent Contact (black)
It is in your child’s best interest that we work together with regard to his or her schooling. We will thus keep you informed about your child’s behavior in class by sending home a notice each week in their Friday folder. We have already discussed this plan with your child, but would appreciate it if you would review it with him or her before signing and returning the form below.
